RLS was proud to once again be the official press fitting used in the 2025 ServiceTitan HVAC National Championship, held October 8–10 in West Palm Beach, Florida. The competition brought together the best HVAC technicians and apprentices from across the country, showcasing the reliability and performance of RLS press technology under real-world conditions.
The competition unfolded across several stages, beginning with a Round One Digital Quiz where professionals and apprentices demonstrated their knowledge of industry practices in a timed online format. In addition to the online challenge, Johnstone Supply hosted in-person qualifiers at select locations nationwide. Top scorers from both the online and in-person rounds advanced to the next phase.
In Round Two, the top 36 Professionals and top 36 Apprentices from the online quiz, plus six additional Johnstone Supply in-person qualifiers, moved on to the At-Home Challenge. Each received a custom challenge kit presented by Johnstone Supply, designed by industry experts to test their technical abilities and attention to detail in a real-world scenario.
The top 10 Professionals and top 10 Apprentices from Round Two then advanced to the final round in West Palm Beach to compete for their share of over $100,000 and the title of ServiceTitan HVAC National Champion. During the finals, participants were required to make copper tube connections using RLS press fittings, following the same steps they would in the field: prepping the tube, marking insertion depth, completing the press with RLS-compatible tools and jaws, and verifying the seal with an RLS press gauge.
